Amanda is Artistic Director of the Oakville Choir for Children and Youth, where she leads a multi-ensemble program centred on artistic development, music literacy, and leadership. She works closely with singers and families to create meaningful performance experiences and support long-term musical growth.
As Artistic Director of the Chorus Niagara Children’s Choir (CNCC) for over a decade, she led the organization to national acclaim, expanding it into a four-ensemble program for ages 3 to 18. Under her leadership, CNCC earned multiple gold awards at MusicFest Canada and performed alongside renowned artists and ensembles, including Measha Brueggergosman, Chorus Niagara, the Niagara Symphony Orchestra, and Bravo Niagara! Festival of the Arts.
Dedicated to accessible and impactful choral education, Amanda created the Honour Choir Outreach Program, introducing nearly 200 students annually from the District School Board of Niagara to choral music and performance. Over five years, it provided hundreds of young singers with meaningful opportunities to develop their skills and perform in a culminating concert. In partnership with Choirs Ontario, she is now expanding the program province-wide to bring high-quality choral experiences to schools and communities with limited access.
As Music Specialist at Fern Hill Private School in Oakville, Amanda has developed a comprehensive Preschool to Grade 8 music program grounded in music literacy, vocal training, and performance. She has directed award-winning ensembles, including the Fern Hill Chorus, which has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and earned top honours at provincial and national competitions. She has also directed and produced an extensive list of musicals, including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Music Man, Fiddler on the Roof, Beauty and the Beast, Into the Woods, Mary Poppins, The Wizard of Oz, Matilda, and Newsies.
Her work has been recognized with the St. Catharines Arts in Education Award, the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce Women in Business (Cultural Arts) Award, and two nominations for the prestigious Leslie Bell Prize for Choral Conducting from the Ontario Arts Council.
