A Message from the Artistic Director

As we begin a new season, we are reminded of the profound impact choral music has on our community and the world. For 30 years, the Oakville Choir for Children and Youth has been bringing young voices together in harmony, fostering a sense of unity and purpose. Imagine a world where everyone listens more than they speak, leads with kindness, and works as a cohesive team where every member feels valued. These are the values at the heart of our mission. We strive to help young people find their voices and use them to make the world a better place in their own unique and vital way.

Looking ahead to our 2024/2025 season, we are excited about several new developments. This season will feature guest conductors, with more details to be released soon, and we are welcoming new artistic team members. Additionally, we are planning both national and international tours, providing our choristers with incredible opportunities to share their music and connect with diverse audiences.

As we embark on this new season, we remain committed to our mission of fostering musical excellence and personal growth in our choristers. We believe that through music, young people can develop leadership skills, embrace teamwork, and cultivate empathy. We invite you to join us on this exciting journey, whether as a singer, supporter, or audience member. Together, we can continue to inspire, uplift, and make a positive impact on our community and beyond. Thank you for being a part of the Oakville Choir for Children and Youth family.

Yours in song,

Jeff Enns Visit

Jeff Enns Visit

We were so excited to welcome Canadian composer Jeff Enns to our Raise Her Voice Cherub rehearsal! Mr. Enns really enjoyed meeting the choristers and of course, hearing them sing his compositions that he wrote for us way back in 2020. Thank you for visiting, Mr. Enns!...

“As a mother of girls who have grown up singing (and now leading younger ones!) in the Oakville Choir, we have grown to appreciate and admire the confidence and charisma the OC has fostered in our children.  What starts as a group of youngsters singing and dancing quickly blossoms into young adults who sing with courage and go on to become fearless leaders.  We wholeheartedly support the OC and all that it brings to our family and community.”

– Farzana, OC parent
